TV News: HBO and BBC Team Up For Wolf Hall Adaptation

Exciting news for all fans of lengthy historical novels, the BBC and people named Hilary:  HBO and the BBC are teaming up for an adaptation of Wolf Hall, Hilary Mantel’s Booker Prize winning novel about the early court of Henry VIII, largely seen through the eyes of his advisor Thomas Cromwell.

It’s being developed by Company Pictures, the people behind Shameless. Let’s hope there’s at least one Mancunian character who regularly gets drunk on mead, spends all his groats at the inn and falls asleep in his shack using his six children and wife as a bed.

It’s currently not clear who will play Henry VIII, but after Saturday’s episode of The Voice UK, Sam Buttery is currently free for an audition. Good luck Sam!
